
Sevastopol is a city of monuments, obelisks and museums. Its heroic past is represented by famous Panorama museum “Defense of Sevastopol in 1854-1855 “, Diorama “Assault of Sapun mountain in May, 7, 1944”, Marine boulevard, Counts` landing stage. Its earlier history continues to live in the ruins of Chersonesus where the ancient and medieval monuments of Crimea were saved. Chersonesus is a sacred place for orthodox Christians: there in 988 the Great prince Vladimir the Kievan was baptized.
